Looking at your comparison page there do appear to be differences or is the comparison page using different point sizes for some of the glyphs. From what I can understand, they're both ports of the Bravura font. Tell me, though, what are the differences between Fravura and Aruvarb. I'm looking forwards to trying your plugin. When performing the conversion to Bravura, it switches to the default font size of Bravura which is 24. If the plugin is requested to perform a conversion to Aruvarb, it will keep the source font size if the source symbol is in Aruvarb. So the master document has a 4-bar tremolo in Aruvarb in font size 26 which I preferrer over 24 for that symbol. The first sub font of the plugin is used in these cases in the plugin - which is Aruvarb. The reason is rather simple, but not obvious: the master document which is used for the conversion process uses the Maestro font, except for a few symbols that are not available in Maestro, like the 4-bar tremolo. The symbol in the two fonts is identical though. The 4-bar tremolo uses indeed a different font size (24 in Bravura, 26 in Aruvarb).

F/A use precomposed symbols, while T/N use compound dynamics in Fiinale ("f"+"f"+"f" plus tracking info). Probably because Sibelius uses a slightly different standard font size as Finale (see Also the creation of compound dynamics "fff" is different in Fravura/Aruvarb and Taneyev/Norfolk. The symbols are scaled differently in the fonts. In the comparison there are definitely differences between Fravura and Aruvarb, and also the other Bravura-ports Taneyev, Profondo and Norfolk. Many document settings need to be changed as well. There is also Fravura-Extra which adds a few more Bravura symbols.Īruvarb includes all Bravura symbols plus symbols required to make the font work in Finale, but it is not Maestro-compliant.
